When you sign up for Oventory, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in via a third-party provider (Google), we receive your name and email from that provider.
Asset data
You voluntarily provide details about the physical items you own, including purchase prices, serial numbers, photos, warranty dates, receipts, and maintenance records. This data is stored solely to provide the asset management features of the application.
Usage data
We may collect anonymized, aggregated technical information such as page views and general feature interactions to fix bugs and improve performance. This data never contains your individual asset details.
2. How we use your information
We use your information exclusively to provide and improve the Oventory service:
- Authenticate your account and maintain secure sessions
- Store, organize, and calculate valuations for your asset inventory
- Surface warranty expiry indicators and dashboard notifications
- Provide reliable customer support when requested
3. Data storage and security
Your data is stored in isolated databases on encrypted edge infrastructure. Authentication tokens and passwords are cryptographically hashed and salted. We do not sell your personal data or provide advertising brokers with access to your asset records.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We share data only in the following minimal operational contexts:
- Essential infrastructure service providers (cloud database hosting, secure authentication providers) bound by strict confidentiality
- When required by applicable legal process or law enforcement regulations
5. Your rights and data ownership
You maintain complete ownership of your inventory data. You have the right to:
- Access and review all personal information stored about you
- Export your complete asset records
- Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated records
6. Cookies
Oventory uses essential session cookies required for authentication and security. We do not use third-party behavioral advertising or tracking cookies.
